Truck-Mounted Concrete Pump are widely used to deliver concrete at the construction site, being easily exposed to the dirt, mud, and concrete residues in the surrounding areas. Therefore, the truck-mounted concrete pump must be cleaned properly in order to reduce breakdowns and prolong its service life. You must drain the delivery line, pump and hopper completely. Concrete residues in the hopper, in particular, may be thrown out while the pump truck is moving.First of all, the truck-mounted concrete pump must not be driven with the placing boom unfolded or the support legs extended, even over short distances. Therefore, the placing boom and support legs must be fully retracted and secured when the concrete pump truck is driven to another site for cleaning.The preferred methods for cleaning the delivery line are reverse pumping or forced cleaning with water. Heavy Equipment The agitator of truck-mounted concrete pump must be switched on during reverse pumping. Otherwise, the concrete flowing back into the hopper can bend the agitator shaft. Use a catch basket, pipe cleaning head and washout ball for forced cleaning to prevent any water from flowing into the formwork. Last but not least, never spray the truck-mounted concrete pump’s remote controls or control cabinets with barrier agents (mould oil or the like) to protect them against contamination, which can cause significantcorrosion damage to the concrete pump truck’s electrical system.

If you have to use aggressive cleaningagents when cleaning truck-mounted concrete pumps, ask the manufacturer of the cleaning agent to confirm its suitability because aggressive cleaning agents mayattack the concrete pump truck’s materials (e.g. rubber) and paintedsurfaces. Concrete Batching Plants You can use commercially availablepaint cleaning and care agents that have a pH value of between 4 and 9. In addition, when cleaning truck-mounted concrete pumps, do not use sea water or other watercontaining salt for cleaning purposes, or any highly flammable agent forcleaning.You must close/seal all openings into whichwater/steam/cleaning agent must notpenetrate for safety or functional reasonsbefore cleaning, otherwise the concrete pump truck’s electric motors and controlcabinets are particularly at risk.
